5 signs you’ve gotten way too comfortable in your marriage

When you’re married to your best friend it’s only natural to get more and more comfortable each day.  However, successful marriages are made up of two people that engage in everyday intentional actions to grow their marriage and keep things fresh and exciting. Please know, there’s a big difference in being secure vs. comfortable in your marriage.  

You can never have too much security.  It’s something that should grow day by day and yes-  security gives you a comfort level, but there is such a thing as being too comfortable.  Believe it or not, there are some every day activities you can examine to assess whether you’ve gotten too comfortable.  I won’t say which of these acts I engage in, but let’s just say I have some work to do! Here are 5 signs you’ve gotten WAYYYY to comfortable in your marriage!

1. You’ve let hair grow in places you wouldn’t dare allow it to, in your single life. 
2. You don’t show off anymore.  You stopped
   1. Teasing
   2. Flaunting
   3. Flirting
3. You stopped doing the little things
   1. Midday text messages
   2. Cooking his favorite foods
   3. Leaving little love notes
4. You leave nothing to the imagination (and not in a good way).
   1. Nothing disgusts my husband more than when I pluck the hairs of my chinny, chin, chin in front of him! I just assumed that level of comfortability only highlighted how much my love for him had grown…Welp!  He doesn’t agree at all.
5. You go to the bathroom with the door open and I’m talking # 2!  Many people associate this act with the height of true love! LOL (again, I plead the fifth as to whether I am guilty or not), but this is not sexy and is a 100% guaranteed mood-killer!
